On 2nd March, it came to our technical team’s attention that a configuration setting in a recently deployed Datafree Gateway had been wrongly set. On further investigation it has been found that as a consequence data usage logged since the 24th February has been wrongly attributed in the Reporting Database.
Between 24th February and the start of 2nd March approximately 50% of traffic has been incorrectly attributed as ‘paid’ data in the Database rather than ‘datafree’.
It should be noted that at no time during this period, was datafree delivery of Sites and Apps through the Datafree Platform impacted – the issue only relates to the attribution of data usage in the Reporting Database.
The immediate issue (incorrect configuration) was resolved immediately and data usage is once again being attributed correctly.
The team is currently investigating options to rectify the reporting issue for 24th Feb to 2nd March and will have more information on that over the coming days.
